With a headline like that, you expect something juicy, right?

Letter reads:

"In 1989 I left a communist country to live in a free world. Years later I'm starting to wonder, where do I love now? Is it really a free country, where TV Media manipulate viewers, showing no respect at all to their basic expectations?"

Holy shit. This person is REALLY pissed off. What could possibly have happened to enrage them so? Some digital tomfoolery? Some shady playing with statistics? Were they pissed off about this?

I mean, this must be some serious Big Brother/ Ministry of Truth shit! Man, I'm glad they're bringing it to light!

On March 29, I watched the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix race on TSN. I stayed up all night to watch the race "live". Thanks to the official F1 Internet site, I now realize that TSN's coverage was delayed by at least five minutes. It wasn't "live" at all.

Holy crap? What do these networks think they're doing? This is... Wait, what?

Why do they do it? To be able to feed us with commercials at their convenience? To protect us from unsuitable scenes or comments? To make sure no erros could be blamed on the broadcasters?

Uh, yes?

No matter what the reason, I find it arrogant, disprespectful and a sad reminder of totalitarian ideology. The "professionalism" of TV bosses could be recommended to still existing totalitarian regimes, wehre one can only only manipulate people, but truly play with their fate.

Okay, Star, very cute, nice April Fool's... Yesterday? Really? Wow.

I fail to see the slippery slope between "Five minute delay on an F1 Race" and "Chocolate Rations have been increased to 22 Grams a day!"

I haven't seen something this nuts that didn't involve ninjas in a while.

Hey, you can steal elections, raise taxes, start wars, do whatever you want, but do NOT mess with the television!

Increased to 22 grams! Double plus good! My chocolate ration of 25 grams never seemed to be quite enough.

Man, I'd slaughter a bus of nuns and baby ducks for 22 grams of chocolate a day...

Even if it's white chocolate. I'm weak, I admit it.

The coverage was live but the BBC feed has no commercials. What TSN did was add commercials but show the entire race which eventually made it 5 minutes behind.

The question is would he like to see the entire feed or have the entire thing live and miss parts due to commercials so he can follow the internet feed?
