Thoughts on Dollhouse
Feb. 15th, 2009 11:56 amDollhouse is not, as of yet, cancelled.
The ending was the cute bit. I can't remember who mentioned this (on a forum or twitter or other place) but the dolls sleep in plastic boxes (aha!), which are hyperbaric chambers to help them recover from their activities.
I have to wonder what (if any) parts of the show are based on the original concept and what are network notes. I presume the anthology-esque feel of it (the Dollhouse employees serve a somewhat narrator-esque role, while the Dolls themselves are literally ciphers, having no existence other than that the audience and the narrators impose on them) is something that is inevitable for the base concept of the show.
Of course, we know that Echo will begin to either retain some of her imprints or possibly begin to regain her memories, so it's difficult to tell how long that'll remain the status quo.
