Hey, I just recently watched an episode of the Wait Till Your Father Gets Home, and yes, it was worse than I remembered it also. It was also way more risque than I remembered. Aah, the good old days before the Parent's Television Council got their hands in everything.

But you can't deny the rockin' theme song! I'd watch the show for that alone :-)

WTYFGH is comedy gold compared to some of the TV of my youth. Have you ever, for example, seen The Trouble With Tracy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Trouble_with_Tracy)? I'm old enough to have seen quite a few episodes of that, some in their first run... ::shudder:: ... I'm not sure, but I think there might be more episodes of that than there was of M*A*S*H, believe it or not; it was only on for two years, but it was a daily (yes, daily) sitcom on CTV, so I think they made like 250 episodes... Oh, the horror!

Ah! Re-reading the article I found on "Tracy" leads me to believe that they made 130 total eps of Tracy, and not two seasons of 130 eps. Seems like that can only be considered a small mercy. Still almost an order of magnitude more than Frank's Place, which should have gotten longer than it did...
