Little help?

thebitterguyOkay, I've got the new printer installed. It does the hum/whirr thing when you start up the computer, and it looks like it's installed properly. The printer is in the Printers folder and everything.
But when I try to print something, it just don't go through. Says the printer ain't ready. I tried troubleshooting, nothing.
Any suggestions?
