McCain political rallies are filled with people shouting that Obama is a Muslim and various racial slurs and the RNC featured people chanting "Drill Baby Drill!" When I see anything remotely resembling this sort of behavior in the DNC or most (or perhaps even any) Obama rallies, I'll believe you. However, as I discuss here, (http://heron61.livejournal.com/580640.html) what we have in the US is one moderate (and IMHO far too centrist) party in the US, and one party whose core is made up of bigots and religious zealots, and which has been actively and specifically appealing to exactly those sorts of people for the past 30 years.

The RNC called me last night begging for my vote (I get a lot of calls; I'm in a swing state). I told her, "Yeah, I was just watching online about this woman in Grosse Pointe who denied children of people supporting Obama candy during trick-or-treat. No, I'm not voting Republican. Hell, no."
