Dr. Who RPG

I've gotten some materials for the new Dr. Who game (thanks to the fine, hardworking people at Cubicle 7) to run a demo game at a 45th anniversary party next month, if all the attendees are amenable.

The material I've received is a selection from the quickstart rules and a convention demo featuring Ten (although there's nothing to keep you from just saying it's Nine) and a selection of companions (including everyone except for Jackie Tyler. No, seriously, they have stats for K-9).

I haven't been able to give it more than a quick once over, but the system looks very quick n' dirty; it reminds me of the Cinematic Unisystem iteration used for Buffy/ Angel.

I look forward to looking deeper into it and giving it a nice ride around the block.

I'm annoyingly fickle when it comes to systems. I prefer something pretty solid (I still have a teenage crush on the Hero system), but I can handle something lighter with a good GM.

Does your store sell the micro-Universe figures? I'm often tempted to try to get the K9 figure.

Nah, unfortunately not. We don't stock much past GW and Clix. Even Reaper doesn't get much love from us, for some reason.

Does it use a single die for resolution that is not a D20? If so, then I'll probably never play the game... (yes, I know that sounds ridiculous)...
