Corner Gas reads my mind.
Oct. 20th, 2008 09:16 amVery amused last night watching the first ep of this season's Corner Gas (the last of the series).
There's a discussion during which somehow the topic of who would win in a fight, Spider-man or Sasquatch comes up. Brent actually says "Wait, do you mean Sasquatch from Alpha Flight, or just a generic sasquatch?"
Made my geek heart glow, I tell you. I almost Hoo'd Win'd the conversation on the spot, but decided against it.
I do wonder if the Corner Gas website is still unmanageable.

Date: 2008-10-20 05:42 pm (UTC)The only time I've actually seen what specific comic he's been reading was once where it was a Savage Dragon. There was also a flashback scene to a time in the 80s where Oscar was still running Corner Gas and they had a rack full of comics - the only one I can remember is Power Pack #9 (I believe), which, aside from being appropriate to the time period, oddly enough, guest starred Marrina of Alpha Flight (although she's not on the cover).
Yes, I spent way too much time thinking of this. ;)

Date: 2008-10-20 07:28 pm (UTC)Now for decision time... order it from Amazon.ca or try to find a Saturday to do a run for the border (and I'd be shopping for more than just that DVD, so it would be worth the drive).
Calling Joe Quesada...
