I rather disliked him, except in a few moments, in Jekyll, but I'm almost entirely sure it was because of the lame accent.

I can say for certain that his accent was the one thing that kept me from watching the show. Which was apparently very good, according to my wife.

Apart from Benjamin's crap accent, I heartily recommend Jekyll. I could pick a few nits here and there, but it's mostly brilliant, and I'm sorry to think how unlikely it is that we'll see another season now.

I did end up seeing the finale, which was quite neat. It seemed to be a very complicated endeavour, though.

What is it about Brits and Americans doing each other's accents that is so bad?

I will add though, that Benjamin is already quite despicable and the accent fuels that feeling further.

Yes, and he can't do American any better than Boreanaz does Irish, but it shouldn't be an issue.

It's all tabloid speculation anyway.
