Scroll Lock. The Scroll Lock key is the computing equivalent of the tonsils: only intermittently useful, and much more frequently a pain in the ass.

Unless you use Linux. Most flavours of Linux recognize the original use of the Scroll Lock key when text is flying by too fast.
