So today after work I hit the elliptical for a bit more than a half hour on the cardio setting, and that was quite a fine workout. It ain't no small thing, burning 500 calories.

So, afterwards, I headed to the Superstore to get some cream for curry, and then to the comics shop to get my wednesday fix.

Only... The comic shop is closed.

That location has been home to two toy and game stores, a computer shop, and a comic store. Geekdom has been there for exactly a year now; I remember Junior, the owner, coming up to say hi at GX last year, and I didn't recognize him because, well, I was in the middle of GX, and I'd just met him a week prior.

He and his wife had a daughter a few months ago, so Junior has been busy since then. Ryan, the manager, has been a good guy all along. So getting there and finding out they'd closed down (the comics were still in stock, but they'd taken out all the video games) was a bit of a shock.

Now I have to figure out what to do to feed the graphic monkey on my back. Possibly Dragon Lady, possibly Altered States.

Isn't/Wasn't Geekdom Milton's only comic book store?

And are they really out of business or just divesting themselves of the video game side of things?

That's a bummer. I hate to see when little businesses fail.
