I prefer referring to it as the "Wandering Prostitute Table," one of the quirkier bits of AD&D (and there were a lot of quirks in the DMG)

Think my favorite bit of the article is this: "If you’d like to use a non-Haughty Courtesan, you have to play a different game. It’s in the rules for a reason, okay?"
