Dave Sim and female characters: I never thought his female characters were horrid, but mind you I stopped reading around the time of Melmot and Jaka's Story or thereabouts, I was much younger at the time and perhaps thus not best equipped to really discriminate. I also understand that, after that point, he pretty much swan-dived off the deep end according to various critics. I just got bored and stopped reading....

I kind of stopped reading comics altogether, but I've not had any desire to get back into his work since then.
