So, does thinking you're a ninja make you insane, or do insane people think they're ninjas?

I'll never forget my first ninja or second ninjas.

My first ninja, a recruit way, way back in 1991, was definitely ... unbalanced. Did you know that when he was twelve he almost killed a guy? With ninjutsu?

I coerced him out of the Army before his section members did grievous bodily harm to him, when after a week of living in tents in 90^o nothing short of actually grabbing him and violently manhandling him into a shower would get him to wash. And after a week in that heat? You wouldn't be able to get close enough to man-handle him.

When I was (correctly, I might add) accused of coercion and threatened with charges by my OC, I asked my OC to step inside the tent while the wonderful little ninja was there. The charges were dropped, and the OC signed off on it.

My second ninja?

I was up in Ottawa training the Ceremonial Guard. We never saw him again after he was caught on the flight-line of the Ottawa Airport dressed in black and holding an empty shoe-box with the word "bomb" written on it.

In my experience, insane people think they're ninjas.
