Free Comic Book Day this weekend

So, this weekend is one of my favourite days of the year, Free Comic Book day.

What this means is that your local comics retailler will have a selection of comics to give away absolutely free to anyone who comes into the store. These are comics for all ages, so there's comics for kids and grownups.

You can find your closest participating store here by entering your postal code.

Some stores will also have live appearances and signings.

this city only has one comic shop, but it was listed as participating. Crap, I'll be out of town on that day, anyway.

I just found out I live right across the road from a comic book store. I was vaguely aware they were there and that they sold sports trading cards. Who knew?
Not me obviously.
This info might come in handy for me some day. ;)

ok bear with me... in my convoluted mind I see it as a sign I was fated to get in to comic books, since the very year I got addicted "free comic book day" falls on my birthday. Like a very geeky sign from the gods.
