You know, I used to like Ben Stein, but increasingly I'm starting to view the guy as an asshole. I'm not sure whether he's sincere about all this or he's just doing it to provoke people; my gut tells me the latter. Either way...yeesh!

Yes, I do. Obviously I wasn't clear what I was objecting to: invoking "think of the children" while erasing the children who were being treated as sexual commodities. "Think of the children! Just not those children!"

The thing Ben Stein seems to fail to realize is that conviction in your beliefs doesn't make them any more true. Of course, this is true of many people.

The mere fact that Ol' Ben used to work for Nixon makes him an asshole, but at least he used to be a funny asshole. Looks like the funny has faded away.
