My cell phone's text message system has a 'word recognition" system that lets it guess what word you might be typing based on the keys you press on the numerical keypad. The default choice for 668437 is "mother", even though I usually type "movies" for that key combo.

Is that the T9 code thing? I have not been able to get the hang of that. I'm amused by the fact that if I hit 6 its first suggestions are 'Ooo' and 'Nom'.

Mine is slightly less advanced. It guesses words based on the number you press, and if it's wrong you cycle onto the next word, and if it isn't in the system you have to go to a different screen to type it in.

Mine learns vocabulary, but not popular word choices; I believe it will assume I mean "mother" with that particular letter selection no matter how many times I suggest my friend and I watch "movies".

edit: I have, however, just taught it to spell "Frodo".
