Good day. Cynra & I took our cars to Viking to get the tires switched (they had oodles of fun working on Supercar, let me tell you) and then grabbed breakfast at the Dundas St. Grill.
Visiting your mechanic's is always fun, and Viking is no exception. The owner, Vito, is a cool guy, and there were a couple guys talking in the office/waiting room about stuff. One of them was a very verbose feller, and when he left one of the others noted "that guy knows the solution to every problem in the world."
I also saw the Maclean's article I linked to previously there. Scary stuff.
After the cars were ready, we went to Square One to get our watches fixed. We told the cashier there that I needed my battery fixed, and he looked up and said "that'll be $110."
Let me tell you, I almost crapped my pants. But thankfully, he was just very good with deadpan humour. Huzzah, indeed.
We were contemplating doing the browncoat dinner, but they tend to always be very crowded, and Cynra didn't want to take a chance that her antibiotics would continue to upset her stomach. We stayed in, watched Dr. Who, and relaxed.
Nice day, in any case.
