Once upon a time, the greatest way to make your mark in your neighbourhood was to get a high score on one of the games at your local arcade.

Of course, the high score only allowed three digits. Sure, you could fall back on your initials, which was a little boring. But you also had the option to pick something snazzier.

YHB, for example, would list himself as DDT whenever he ranked on a video game.

So, what did you list yourself as in those bygone days of arcade glory?

Yeah, I went for this predictable but appealing combo too.

WJW (my initials), and later BOB, once I discovered the Church of the Subgenius. I still put BOB in any retro games that we play nowadays.

The amazon uses PEZ, both in tribute to the candy dispensers, and because it's sort-of close to her initials, PAS.

I, also, put in PEZ. This has no relation at all to my initials, however.

I always went with FEN for fairly obvious reasons. :-)

MUS - It was the closest I could get to "MOOSE."

I was lame, and used my own initials.

Same here, except I don't have a middle name, so it was either T-W if the game allowed for spaces, dashes or characters other than an alphaset, or I'd do TWW (Terry W Wins!) if I did well or TWL (Terry W Loses!) if I didn't place well.

JAM. They're my initials.

I would sometimes do JOE, ASS or POO.

Your initials are POO?

ASS for lower scores and LMP for the win.

(I know, big surprise.)

I either used my initials (GCB) or later "LIZ" (short for Lizard), an inside joke that I'm the only one who fully gets.

GRS

Those are my actual initials. Boring, except that I'd read them as "GRRRRRs!"

I used the exact same initials (Jake Roberts fans represent, yo). Nary a Rampage machine in southeast Alabama was not marked by yours truly. So... yeah, both of them.

I always put DNA, as both a science reference, and a D&D reference. Bonus geek points to anyone who can point out the D&D connection.
