Was there an older version of "Littlest Hobo"? I remember watching it on the B&W TV when I was a kid (maybe around '66 or '67) -- this credit sequence just looks more contemporary (maybe 70s?); or did the poor dog keep wandering for 10-20 seasons before finding his master? That would be sad...
The Littlest Hobo is still on the air early on weekend mornings... Saturday I think. If I fall asleep with my TV on sometimes I wake up to it. My inner child must recognize the theme song ;)
