I've been reading a lot about this online, apparently there isn't a single fan in sight that can be found that is normal of ambivalent, with a dense population living in rage-ville over this.

One of the biggest things mentioned is that it took the Cosmic Cube + other universe uber-powered stuff to erase everyone's memory of Steve Rogers as Captain America only a couple of years ago, and it has been shown that Mephisto could never have pulled this level of stuff off before, so how did he suddenly get this incredible boost of power to pull this off? Um, "It's magic."

Apparently the tremendous amount of crack that's being smoked at Marvel in trying to do this sudden about face and literally f-ing up years upon years of contuity seemed justified, because of 'magic.'

I really hope that the sales plummet and they have to pull a clone-saga to get out of this one.
