YOu may have noticed I'm home tonight, when I should be playing Marvel Superheros?

Seems the OTHER players wanted to play a Mage Larp. Fuckers.

Sure, the AOL Avenger has us all by the short n' curlies. Sure, we managed to stop Major Catastrophe by ourselves, without even officially provided names or costumes.

Sure, I'm pretty sure that English chick has a crush on my character. But it apparently ain't important enough to interrupt a Mage Larp. Feh.

On the plus side, it gives me time to finish some stuff. GW article done, Scarred Lands almost done (any Scarred Lands writers wanna tell me why they love the setting? Please?) and rumors of [livejournal.com profile] kali_magdalene's death were greatly exagerrated, as I've got the questions back.

Huzzah!

Scarred Lands

Standard enough D&D to support normal D&D play, but with a darker twist. A wonderful, yet simple mythology that's easy to grasp yet with complicated applications and lots of plot potential. A young world, where it doesn't feel like the PCs are always competing against the past accomplishments of ancient NPCs.

It's really the mythology that got me. I liked Diomin for a similar reason, and lots of people hate that setting, too.
