Not Dead

Wish I were, just a little.

Did not get the lateral promotion I'd been hoping for. Interviewed for it last Friday, was told would get results Monday, today I got the "I'd like to thank you for applying" speech.

IDssapointing, to say the least.

I would have been moved from CS to Quality, which is a huge step up. Or at least a small step over. On the plus side, I have gotten a chance to update my resume, which is always good.

I also learned that some of my cow-orkers are getting GST checks. God, that sickens me. Move out of your parents fucking homes, you gits!

Weather annoyed me today. I felt rather ill this afternoon, so if I"m not at 100% tomorrow I may do a sick day.

Cats are going nuts. Ra has continued to destroy stuff.

On the plus side, d20ark* Matter will be happening next weekend.

Alas, it is. I haven't been home since August 2001 and no besides my immediate family has seen Peter (or Mary since she was 18 months old -- she's 3 now). I'm not looking forward to the 10 hour drive with two kids, but it's got to be done and the Easter holiday is a perfect one, since all the teachers in my family will be free to spend time with.

Oh well.

Easter is the 20th; we're staying for two weeks. The way everyone's vacations fall, it just worked out best to head down well beforehand and come back to TO shortly afterward.

Why, oh why, does my car start without fail all through the winter, only to RRRR-RRRR-RRRR itself to death in April?

I think the fact it's winter in December may have had something to do with it.

We ended up going to Driss hoose and playing Halo for five hours.

Man, it's got a certain advantage over Settlers of Cattaan.
