Kind of thinking right now

I've done some reading lately that has got me in a bit of a zombie frame of mind.

Specifically, something in an RPG fashion. I dug out my copy of All Flesh Must be Eaten(as well as my copy of Terra Primate,and who thought THAT was a good idea?)

I wonder why, with the recent resurgence of the zombie to the top of the pop culture zeitgeist, AFMBE isn't doing better? I mean, the pirate SB (once again, match made in cineplex) seems to still be back burnered.

Shame, is all.

AFMBE still strikes me as an odd system. It's the beautician skill. It just don't fit.

I dug out my copy of Horror Hero, and it's still a bad book. I'm sorry.

In fact, the whole "put one in the brain" idea makes me once again think of Top Secret SI. Hit locations, and all that.

I've always wanted to play AFMBE. Do you run table-top rpg games in Toronto? We should play stuffs!!!

Unfortunately, I think Eden Studios finally gave up the ghost. I know it always sold well for us, when we could order reprints (which wasn't terribly often, unfortunately). That might've been the problem.

I rarely run anything. I'll put you on my filter for local gamers, so if I do get the impetus to run you'll see.

That's too bad. I always enjoyed their stuff.

It is apparently still in existence (they run a shop in Albany, IIRC), but they just have hit cash flow crunches that keep them from releasing stuff on any particular schedule.
