I hope you are not referring to recent accusations by the current administration of illegal covert activity by Nick Fury.

You know, I always wished we could see more of Dr. Doom doing stuff that wasn't supervillain-like but rather governmental. Doom at the EU, Doom trying to maintain political relationships, Doom dealing with the paperwork. I mean, sure, he's a despot, but he's an ORGANIZED despot; he doesn't run the country like his personal whorehouse/cashbox and wants to keep everybody happy and safe. You can't tell me he's got Doombots running the show.

Considering some of the rumours I've been hearing from various elements of the governments of the Permanent Five, I wonder if maybe Nick and the von Bardas government weren't jointly set up to kill each other off.

Colonel Fury is a dinosaur. His service to the country during the Second World War was admirable but he is not a man of this era. And worse, he's unelected and unaccountable, and in charge of an international organization that is corrupt at the best of times. He should have been put out to pasture when Ollie North was. Ever wonder about the similarities there? Colonel Oliver North, similarly unelected, caught in illegal extraterritorial activities? Hmmm...
