If anybody says "don't read" they are lying, because your poll is textual in format!

Missing option

I read quite a bit, but I have no real interest in the HP books. I wouldn't say I don't like them, because I haven't read them, so I wouldn't know.

I'm sure I'll read them eventually, but it's not really that big a deal to me.

I usually read other people's copies, but this time, I think I'll buy the final book. I like the series enough to do that.

Delivered...

... but still haven't finished HP4, and probably won't for some time.

Another vote for this option.

Technically, I'll be picking up a copy later in the day on Saturday... only because it takes about three and a half hours to drive to Vancouver, BC from here. All our copies of the HP books are the Canadian editions, so we're going to finish out the series that way... and it's a good excuse to hop across the border to do a bit of shopping (All-Dressed potato chips = yummy).

In paperback, with the added codicil: it's an eventuality, but not one that I have any degree of anticipation for.

I dunno.

I'm just not as excited as I want to be. I might wait for paperback, might not.

#3 & #6 -- my stepfather has it pre-ordered, and so naturally he's got dibs reading it first. (Unless he's nice enough to let me have first shot at it.)

Well, I felt kind of mean saying I didn't like them when actually it's just that I'm not interested in them.

There is a giant difference between not liking something and not having consumed it; or between not liking something and being apathetic towards it.

I want to see the ending... but I'm too cheap to buy the hardcover these days. It's crazy what adding on another 200K of debt will do to you! ;)

You're either trolling or mentally deficient.

I've got two copies being delivered. One for me to read first and one for daughter #1. Once we're done they'll get passed along to everybody else in the family.

We've got two copies of all of them. Because I tend to crack the spine of my books and my kids hate me for it.
What? It's a mass market book. Not a bloody Gutenberg bible.
lol

Oh, biting!

You posted a poll. Based on the number of replies you've had so far, a decent portion of the response was "you missed an option." You went "nyuh-uhhh! The poll is fine!" when it obviously wasn't. Simple logic, and you deny it. Logic > *

My option isn't on the list:

I have ordered it from my local bookshop, and I will be picking it up when they get it in, which is later than most people will get it, because small book stores don't get the book as quickly as big ones do.

I'd have it reserved if my library STILL didnt say "Harry Potter and the deathly hallows (Release date 21/07/2007. Due to the expected high demand for this title no reservations will be taken until the books are received. Please check again in July) / J. K. Rowling."

*sighs*

Technically I have a copy reserved at the library, but I'm number 213 on the list. The library is getting 80 or so copies, so I might only have to wait six weeks at most, even less hopefully.

However, I have many friends who own it and I might be able to get my hands on a copy before the library gets me mine.

I definitely don't want to buy the book, however, since I've got every copy in a matching paperback edition that comes out a year or so after the hardcover. I'll have to wait that long before I own it.

I think you might be confusing "I don't like" with "I dislike". Although the first is often used to mean the second, they're not actually the same sentiment (the first is ambiguous about why they're not liked.
