That was fun
Jun. 24th, 2007 11:00 pmGood time at the Serenity screening yesterday. The film is still enjoyable, and I got to do an auction.
The showing was (as anyone who saw a previous note can tell you) part of a worldwide fundraiser for Equality Now called Can't Stop the Serenity.
After the showing, there were door prizes drawn for, as well as an auction where I shouted because there was no sound system.
I will admit I laughed at an inappropriate time, because of the "dirt nap with baby jesus" bit. I blame Fillion.
The dinner venue was kinda swamped (apparently the manager had a family member die recently). Not horrid, though. The nachos came concurrent with the meal, instead of earlier. Which was sucky. But we managed to polish them off.
Enjoyable night/day. Of course, if the car hadn't needed to get a boost, it probably would have been better. Ah, well.
Unfortunately, we were too worn out by food and stuff to make it to
elizard100's goodbye party, but we'll grab a minute together at Toronto Trek.
