Cheney's smirk is only second to that of his boss, Bush. Every time I see that arrogant smirk I just want to smack him.

I think he has gas - that would explain the look on Her Majesty's face, as she reacts to the smell.

As for his boss, he's just stupid. The look on his face isn't so much arrogance as the blissful grin of the idiot, unaware that he's on fire and happy that he's warm.

Nobody takes that possibility seriously. Heck, when he ran as Bush's partner the first time one of the criticisms was that he's a guy taht would never become president on his own due to age, ill health and other factors.
