Superman could beat him into mush or throw him into the heart of the Sun, but that plucky Savior of Souls would just crawl out from under a rock to begin the fight again. Yeah, I think the comic has it right.

Speaking of pointless matchups, personally, I could never see the point of "Batman vs Predator", much less "Batman vs Predator vs Superman vs Aliens" (or whatever it was called). I mean, the Batman/Predator matchup should have two panels - the first is the 3-dot laser designator centered on the Bat-logo in the middle of Batman's chest like a target, and the second would be the Bat-cowl hanging like a trophy from a Predator's belt, maybe with the skull still inside.
