I love that page. Strange, a couple iterations ago they used to have a Tasmanian ... I find their accent a lot less 'strine! then most Australian accents.
No .. Darwin is in the Northern Territory ... pretty much the opposite end of Oz (as Hobart/Tassy are on that little island way down south) and are very 'strine! indeed.
An e-friend invited me to visit him in Brisbane on my first trip, and I'm based out of my kid sister's place in Sydney. (That's the two red flags on the east coast). I'm all "so ... that's a couple hours drive. I'll take a bus!"
Of course, It's a clean thousand kilometers between the two of them, almost as far as Fredericton ot Thunder Bay from Toronto. ANd highways a lot more like driving up to Thunder Bay.
Now I know about the very cheap air flights available along the coast (Sydney to Tasmania or Brisbane and return for under $300 Cdn), but back then I viewed air travel as too expensive for me to consider.
