In consideration of Robert Anton Wilson passing away today, news that Anthony Michael Hall can't keep from saying the 'n-word' on camera seems rather irrelevant.

I wish I could find my copy of the Illuminatus trilogy these days. I think I have the compilation of the Shroedinger's Cat books around, though. I believe Steve Jackson has stated he will Sutee upon the pyre, and his remains will then be cryonically preserved.

Now I want to read Shea's Saracen book.

Shike was ... bad. Very bad. I was really quite shocked by the adolescent power fantasy it portrayed.

Strangely, the plot and protagonist of Saracen has a lot of superficial similarities to Glen Cook's The Tyranny of the Night. That being said, Cook's book adds a hell of a lot of fantasy to Europe, and I'm sure the similarities end there.

Doug.

He's not really dead, you know. He's just resting. Plotting. Uh. I've said too much. *slinks off*

I've just discovered his work finally. I started it with the Schrodinger's Cat trilogy, and will soon read Prometheus Rising.

So long, Robert. I hardly knew ye.

I loved RAW, did a stage version of William Reich in Hell with folks in Ptbo years ago, really sad news.
I know, full and happy life and all, but still sad.
