Kinda winded
Dec. 31st, 2006 01:19 amSo, yesterday Cynra & I went to a friend's for what would, theoretically, be a quick watchtrough of the Star Wars films. That would be 1-6, with the Clone Wars animated bits between 2 & 3.
Theoretically, we'd be done in the afternoon and back in time to head down to
absinthe_dot_ca's welcome home party. Oh, yeah, that worked.
We didn't get AotC & the animated bits done until a bit after midnight. Then we retired for the night, got up, breakfast, and started again, after watching the last chapter of CW again because Valerie had nodded off during it.
That was a frequent failing of YHB, btw. Sure, good tv & surroundsound system are good, but the couch was SO comfy. I probably nodded off a couple times each movie. Possibly because after dinner I was kinda full.
So, back in. Watched Epiosde III (not as bad as I remembered, and better than I & II), then watched IV-VI. Noticed a few things: The transfer on the original versions of the Rebellion trilogy was horrible. The Republic films were still good, visually, with the same horrid scripting., but the picture on the Rebellion films was ASS. We'd gone to watch it on an awesome TV (and this was, folks, awesome).
It was even more depressing when we put in the Extra Edition versions to look at a difference and found that the differences were even MORE profound after the video images were compared.
There was a pizza order made, and the pizza was nice, too.
So, we got home around 11:30, fed the cats, staretd some laundry and Cynra's in bed.
