Today was our team Christmas Potluck/Kris Kringle, where I learned that I waste my time. Last night, in spite of the fact I had just gotten the worst news POSSIBLE in my personal life, I slogged out to the fucking Elsie to pick up a vodka gift set for one of my co-workers.

What did I get today? A red velvet picture frame. That wasn't even sealed in any way. Thanks. That's just fucking GREAT.

Well, last I heard was that Romania (as an example) had barred foreign adoptions entirely, and from the crap muskrat_john has gone through, Russia doesn't seem like a viable choice.

I don't know. We're gonna check with an agency and see what we can see.

Funny about regifting, I got this teddy bear thing for christmas a couple of years ago. It's these ceramic bears that sit on these cubes that spell out "Merry Christmas". Now, I have been planning to regift it every year since, however I always put the damn thing away and then I never find it again until June... it's a bit of a vicious circle... just hope you don't get me next year 'cause now you know what you're getting... if I find it in time...
