Nerd Drama!

zenten posted this post, which led me to this post about gamer/GM tension. Now, naturally, other people's pain makes for good reading, but then I saw it was Larpers, and that's even better.

Here's a line taken out of context!

I am inclined to defer to the Storytellers because they are the ones who are putting a ridiculous amount of time and energy and money down in order to make the game happen.

If they decided that only players who donated $30 a game and arranged for the STs to get lap dances at BareFax could have more than 3 in any Trait or Discipline, that would *still* be a codified system for justification, and I would still defer to their decision.

Man, that's the greatest thing ever.

Well, New Dimensions and all the other local bbses were around.

In Highschool I took a $100 from a friend for a character. To be fair, it was money I legitimately owed him for doing my paperroute for a couple of weeks so, he was really giving me $100 worth of free labour and didn't actually hand over the cash. So he had a Paladin with a +5 Defender/Holy/Vorpal Sword and Full Plate +10.

And I killed him in his first encounter with a Titan (back when Titans were Psionic). I randomly rolled it, not that that excuses my actions from being asshole-ish :)

Taught him a lesson though :)

So yeah, I think its safe to say I'd take professional lap dances (or amateur lap dances from my female players) for any favours a player may want for a PC :)

Ah, hell, I once gave a PC 10 XP because his player helped me get a job. I'll admit, I'm weak.

Only 10 XP? Geez, I hope its was a job cleaning toilets at truckstops or something, cause 10 XP is a pretty weak thank you.

And yeah, I hadn't planned on killing him but was a stickler for "that's the way the dice landed" back in my immature high school days :)

And the humor value was just too precious to pass up :)
