You know, I've seen a bunch of that sort of thing - lots of writers whom I can't imagine ever conceivably liking a certain other writer or artist just gushing about the person. One just wants to go, "I'm sure they're lovely people in person, but... really? You're thrilled to work with somebody who's art resembles four-color spit-up? Well, okay..."

The only things that leap to mind are: Sandman Mystery Theatre, Hellboy, Bone, Akira, Starman, and Appleseed. Not a mainline super to be found there...
