Bon Cop, Bad Cop is officially the most succesful Canadian movie ever.

It has raked in almost 11.5 Million dollars.

Ah, well. I enjoyed it.

A CanCon movie I liked watching has actually, finally edged out that Other Movie for that title!

Wow. That'd actually be pretty good bank for an American release of that budget and genre. I have to admit I'm kind of hoping it crosses the border; the trailer had me laughing my ass off.

I don't know if it'll be distributed down there (you might want to contact Alliance Atlantis to ask them about that) but you shouldn't have any problems acquiring it once it hits the home market.

Oh, yeah. In fact, I'll bet they double their box office with the DVD sales. A lot of people I know will be getting it for Christmas.

Oh, there's no way in hell it'll hit theaters here in the US, are you kidding? Not even "Ginger Snaps" could do that. Hell, "Ginger Snaps" couldn't even get a freakin' anamorphic DVD here in the US. There is no respect whatsoever for the Canadian Film Board down here; we let Leonard Maltin curate collections of shorts, which is probably about as disrespectful as you can get without getting into "yo momma" jokes.

Well, it's not an NFB piece, it's a commercial production, which would probably give it a good chance to make it onto SOME screens. Did Ryan get any commercial release when it was up for an Oscar?
