Finally got to give Straight outta Lynwood a proper listen to.

Very enjoyable. Stuck in the Drive Thru is a well done parody, which is a miracle since it's also 11 minutes long. Canadian Idiot and White & Nerdy are both good as well. Pancreas is middling, but Close but No Cigar and Weasel Stomping Day are good old fashioned fun.

I think as I get older, the parodies become stranger as I become less familiar with the songs they're parodying. He didn't do any old stuff this time (like The Saga Begins or Ode to a Superhero), which I'd enjoyed the last two times.

Will watch the videos shortly.

I feel slightly better now, as I realized this was the first Al CD where I didn't recognize any of the big song parodies right off the bat, too.

After some prompting from a friend (which mostly revolved around, "You know, that Green Day song they won't stop playing") I have to amend my statement and feel slightly better.
