Heh. You know, the next time I think someone on my fl is too hard on Superman Returns (and I can think of a few of you, all grumpy out there), I'll think of this chick.

Wow. Not only does she dip into "Routh's too young", a factual error, but she actually says "Lex Luthor should have teamed up with Al-Qaeda".

Man. That's a rainbow sherbet of crazy. She actually uses the phrase "PC", which indicates that wonderful misunderstanding of the core way the universe works that tends to crop up in psychotics

Wow. Suddenly, people who say "Routh looks too young" are so much pleasanter to deal with.

There's a certain breed of movie critic out there, like CAPAlert, there was a Socialist one too, but there's dozens on the right wing who look at every movie through the lens of politics and judges a movie by how close it comes to their personal political stance. This woman is one of those tools. I have to give her credit for at least seeing the movie instead of reviewing the trailer and posters, which is what most of the rightwingers do. Brokeback Mountain was a favorite.

The hell we are! We're cranky ageists and proud of it.

Routh is 26, the same age as CR in the FIRST Superman movie. But then there were more movies and then he was gone for five years and then hey, here we are back in the same mythos so they should have cast about ten years older.

That said, I quite liked him. Don't get me started on Lois...

She said something about in the 40's Superman fought nazis? Yeah...maybe on the comic book covers but I'd love her to bring me a single issue containing a story with Superman fighting nazis. DC didn't allow Superman to fight nazis in the comics because they thought it would be unfair to depict Superman cleaning up the war when, in reality, there was still a war going on.

Man. That chick is a bitch. Is she one of those people who just hates everything?

I had no issues with Lois, personally, but wasn't in love with her. I did like how Richard wasn't a straw man bad guy. I hope he doesn't get turned into Braniac in a sequel.
