I teef this from [livejournal.com profile] gmskarka.

Doctor in Distress, a celebrity aid song for Dr. Who. With the classic 'reading the lines 'cause we don't know them' pose. Remember when Kenny Rogers did that in We are the World?

Man, I can't hear it, but it looks... interesting.

You've never heard Doctor in Distress? They did it during the hiatus that was almost, but not quite, permanent.

Don't listen, or it'll be stuck in your head forever. ^^;;

I'd never heard of it.

And now that I've heard it, I long for the days of old.

(When I hadn't heard it, that is.)

This is totally the subject of next Pop Culture Addict article. Thanks for the tip off. I'll be sure to drop your name in the article.

No. The worst convention experience I ever had in my life was at Toronto Trek and I totally blame the bad organization of the organizers. I go to about two to three cons a year and never saw such a badly run convention in my life, which made me never want to go back ever again.

I got a lift earlier this year were I met the organizors and ripped a strip off of them for the experience I had. They were very apologetic and I am sure I came off as looking crazy but there is a wrong and a right way to run things. Forcing everybody who wants to meet celebrities in one giant assed line to get into a room is crazy. I was in the line to see one actor, but in a line up of a thousand people who wanted to see someone else. When I finally got to the door my actor was gone. What the hell? I figure I should have been in a line up for the actor and only that actor. You know how long I was in that god damned line? THREE HOURS! This is no way to run a convention. It only pisses people off.

Okay. Done ranting.

Bottom line - rather stick my head in the oven then go to Toronto Trek again. Shame really. They gotta hell of a guest lineup every year. I do miss out - but I'll stick with the Hobbystar show.

And, with all that said - I hope you have a good time and a successful weekend. :) If you see Amber Benson send her my regards. :D

Glad you understand. Its like, lets take the Hobbystar line up....if I want to meet Juliet Landau I don't want to be in the same line up with everybody trying to meet Carrie Fisher, Shatner, Nimoy AND Alice Cooper.

As to the SFX PR department....ummmmmm.....do you wrok for Hobbystar? I mean, if you can set me up with some advance interviews with some of the upcoming guests we'll plug the Hobbystar convention to DEATH for you guys.
