Is that (old) Top Gear or Fifth Gear? I know the smarts were around when (old) Top Gear ran, presumably with both Vicki and Tiff, and the format looks like (old) Top Gear, but I've seen them use that testing area for crashes on Fifth Gear (in one of the two episodes I've seen).

I guess the moral of the story is (a) the Smart is about as safe as any other compact car, and (b) compact cars themselves are safe enough to decently protect passengers in collisions where the force of the collision itself won't kill the passenger.

The correct response was: "In the grand scheme of things, distinguishing between old Top Gear and Fifth Gear is completely irrelevant. Way to miss the point, jackass."

See, that's you calling me a jackass because I was picking at one point of the post that really didn't make a difference. I liked the way the cement barrier absorbed more of the impact from the non-smart car.
