Lost, a day later...

Man. That was one interesting episode. First off, they trick us (well, they trick the trusting ones among us) into believing that Uncle Henry was legit (look! Balloon! And gravesite! Holy cow!), then we get a strangely paced episode that has Sayeed, Anna-Lucia & Charlie walking through the jungle very quickly, Jack spending a LOT of time playing poker, and a half dozen or so off screen and completely unreferenced keyboard thingies by Locke. Otherwise, the whole thing taking place over an hour (including the day going from breakfast to evening) just strains credibility.

The Locke flashbacks continue to be annoyingly tense, as you're constantly waiting for something to happen to put him in a chair. Last night it was "I'll bet those gangsters are the ones!" The relationship between Locke and Helen was an interesting one, but I’ve never seen anyone have that many issues with their partner’s dead dad.

The final map is the proof that the creative staff of this show really, really hates the watchers. All those little bits squeezed into a two second shot. So, six bunkers, and someone who speaks latin. Curiouser & curiouser.

Wasn't there something last year about a car accident, or am I getting my shows mixed up?

I totally missed the fact they were trying to show us there were 6 bunkers. Thank God for Live Journal.
