The photos are interesting.

What I find even more interesting is the responses -- especially those once the story starts to come out. The things that people do and do not find to be valid excuses for this kind of nonesenese are really amazing.

In the meantime, at least it wasn't LA. One of them would have had a gun.

I think it would have been good if he'd gone "fuck, busted" when she tossed the garbage into his car. After that, it was a vicious spiral.

In Boston all couriers carry at least mace and once I saw one break out some nunchucks (VERY illegal in Massachusetts.) Personally, I'm surprised they don't all carry guns.

My U-lock isn't as handy as it used to be (removed it to mount the third bottle cage), but the AirZounds horn is loud enough to drown out any protests.

And my Blackburn air pump is made out of a nice gauge aluminum.

But, yes, Kensignton is one of the worst areas I've ever tried to cycle in. I would agree somewhat with reducing car traffic through there, if only to allow delivery trucks through.

Okay, when you say mace, do you mean in a can, or with flanges?

Because if it's #2, then the nunchucks aren't that surprising.

The kind that comes in a can. If it had been the kind with flanges, I think I would still be laughing. :-)

Only a minority of Americans carry guns. But we're all armed. Usually knives or blunt objects.
