Cynra & I went up to the local Drivers & Vehicles office to get Supercar licensed for the next year (since you have to get it renewed on your birthday, which is Wednesday).

Now, I'd been saying for weeks that I could just go to a Service Ontario Kiosk and get it done (because those things just rock, man), but she insisted on going to the office.

Turns out she's going to buy me a personalized licence plate fo rmy bday, which is the nicest thing ever.

Afterwards, we went to Troy's Diner to get some breakfast, which was nice, and dropped by the aforementioned Kymbits to do a little shopping. We also looked into a futon for the back room, once it's cleared out. I think it's mad to suggest it, but she wants to give it a try.

She did some work in the afternoon, while I went off to bother [livejournal.com profile] mr_weasel. We watched some Rush and that commercial with the bouncy balls. Whee, indeed.

Anyway, back home to head out to meet Uday for dinner at Phil's BBQ on College. We each ordered the combo plate, with chicken ribs & brisket. The meal was nice, although the brisket was not good, a complaint I'm willing to let lie on the cut rather than the cooking. It was really a bit too moist for me, but he impressivly managed to eat it all.

Okay, yeah: The Texas Beef Council has the greatest website EVER.

Anyway, he picked up dinner for us and gave me Half Life 2 as a present, so once I put that into the xbox, it should be interesting.

Anyway, after that we headed to Tim's for some beverages and relaxation, and home to collapse. A nice, busy day.

I love that Bravia commercial, with the superballs. I saw some footage on the making of it, and the crew needed blast sheilds to protect themselves :D
Well?? What's the plate going to say? Have you decided? :)

I thought you wanted to avoid future random acts of violence against your
Super-car?

Excellent choice; I liked it so much, I went out and bought the original Half Life for my PC, and I havent' played games with it for over two years now.

P.S. I suddenly remembered why you get out so much and do so much; you don't have any kids!

The lack of explanation is part of the charm, in my opinion.

You simply have to figure it what's going on.

P.S. Though the orginal game does provide some form of explanation. If you hunt wikipedia up, you can read about the premise of the orginal game that doesn't give away and secrets for the sequel.

Okay, I'll relent a little.

The Black Mesa Research Facility was a top secret US military-scientific installation which was the main setting of the orignal Half Life.
