Did you hear the one about the gamer and the film director?

Gamer's wife, and this is all true, wouldn't let him go play. His film director buddy convinces gamer guy to kill her, and he'll use some of the insurance money to finance his film.

I just watched the Dateline NBC episode about it - they really didn't make a big deal out of him being a gamer, other than that he was a nerdy geek who didn't have the balls to kill his own wife, so he made a deal with his equally geeky (but apparently with enough mocha to kill someone) friend, the director dude.

Yeah, apparently the gamer angle was followed up in a local newspaper article, but the show itself was pretty much "Killed to finance a HORROR MOVIE! Tonight!"
