The next aim for GROW is to see if it can be reduced in size to sit above a household water butt
They're talking about something usable in the home for 2006-ish. They are, in general, way ahead of us on this in Europe. But we're working on it.
But there are other issues when you're putting green roof infrastructure on an old house - mostly around weight capacity and waterproofing. Then again, all roofs need to be replaced eventually...
