Hey, M: What were the foods you recommended for keeping energy levels up during game? I've got Mage tomorrow and would like to be alert without sacrificing a night's sleep to the demon goddess caffeine.

PEOPLE WHO PISS ME OFF:

Whoever draws the numbers for OLGC. Dammit, I really didn't want to go into work tomorrow. Or ever again.

My Fed Ex guy. For the love of Christ, man! There's a signature release thingy on the fucking DOOR! Leave the GD package, and everyone will be fine. Dammit

Non-processed complex carbohydrates like whole grain bread and potatos are good (though we get away with a baguette occasionally). Add vegetables and cheese to the mix. Combine this with hummus or a good vegetable dip. My friend [livejournal.com profile] kearsley makes these great samosas and curry buns. Drink water (lots of water) and juice. Keeping hydrated gives you less of a buzz but it has more staying power than pop. No refined sugars or potato chips or grease.
