Strange happenings in the Mother Country
Oct. 26th, 2005 10:23 amWell, it appears Dr. Who ain't just for Geeks anymore.
Or, possibly, there's just a LOT of geeks in England.
The new Who series won several awards at the National Television Awards in England, which are voted on by viewers there, putting them in the same category as the People's Choice awards, rather than the Geminis.
It won Most Popular Drama, and Eccleston won Best Actor and Billie Piper won Best Actress.
This line in the story made me giggle: "Little Britain was named best comedy programme over The Simpsons, Will and Grace and Max and Paddy's Road To Nowhere. " I really wanna see Max And Paddy's Road to Nowhere.
Thanks to
adders for the intel.
