Inappropriate Lost Ruminations

So, while Cynra & I were at a family conference this weekend, I suddenly had a revelation.

Mr. Echo has a different mien to him from the rest of the tailaways. He's calmer, of different humour. He did go with Jin to find Michael, and seems to know his way around the jungle.

Then it hit me: he reminds me of Locke.

Is it possible that whatever spirit of the Island that Locke encountered also found Mr. Echo in the jungle somewhere and showed him something as well? Could they be kindred spirits?

I wonder if Mr. Echo was not from Oceanic 815 at all, but if he was from the Nigerian drug plane. and he has been surviving on the island for quite awhile.

I think Echo/Eko's a Nigerian. I think he's the anti-Locke.
