I predict the Doom movie will be just like the board game, except it finishes in under 4 hours.

Which makes The Rock a better player than [livejournal.com profile] pyat.

Definitely. I don't play the Rock. I play the panicky guy who runs into a dark room and gets eaten!

It looks. Thrilling. Really. Especially the first-person-shooter shots.

What's with all this genome crap? Why couldn't it just be demons?
Why, oh why couldn't it have stayed as demons???

Interesting. I have predictions about the film, as well, (mostly involving how little time will elapse before I want to gouge my own eyes out after setting the screen on fire).

It's still demons! Apparently it's just that the genome stuff was the catalyst.

It's still Hell on Mars. (Phobos)

From Wikipedia:
The player takes the role of a nameless space marine, "one of Earth's toughest, hardened in combat and trained for action", who has been deported to Mars for assaulting a senior officer when ordered to kill unarmed civilians. He is forced to work for the Union Aerospace Corporation (UAC), a military-industrial conglomerate that is performing secret experiments with teleportation between the moons of Mars, Phobos and Deimos. Suddenly, something goes wrong and creatures from Hell start coming out of the teleportation gates. A defensive reponse from base security fails to halt the invasion, and the bases quickly get overrun by demons, all personnel getting killed or turned into zombies. At the same time, Deimos vanishes entirely. A UAC team from Mars is sent to Phobos to investigate the incident, but soon radio contact ceases and only one human is left alive — the player, whose task is to make it out alive.

That already sounds like a bad movie script! Why do they always have to screw with... everything?

I just pray that they don't screw up the Hitman movie...

And now they're making a Cat's Cradle movie. :( You leave Vonnegut alone!
Actually, the Slaughterhouse-Five movie was pretty close to the book, and managed to be pretty good. Hrm.

Hey, do you know anyone who has a copy of Wario Ware: Mega Party Game$ that they'd be willing to part with? I'll pay big big cash.
