So, yes, last night I worked my way down to King St. to join Steve "Conan" Trustrum and some members of the Sunday Game (currently on hiatus, although considering the scarcity of the Spycraft game, not for long) for An Evening with Kevin Smith: Smack My Podium Down.

Yes, I know that most of you (the Charlie Churches at least) don't dig Kev-Boy, but I'm a fan. So, after a disappointing dinner at the Peel Pub (you want a tip, waiter boy? Try getting me my RIGHT ORDER. How's THAT for a tip?) we sashayed over to RTH for the festivities.

I enjoyed myself, anyway. Really, it's all dick and fart jokes, when you get down to it, but what's important is he amused me, and mocked every one of the bitches who tried to hit him up to read their script. "Just finish it, okay?"

Mewes looked different. Much more subdued than I recall. And brunette. He cleans up REAL good. Who knows. I might just watch their Degrassi episodes.

I was amused, but had to leave to catch the bus.

Good thing I left when I did, too. Got to Union and asked when the next Milton bus left.

"Three minutes," was their reply.

Sweet Jebus. And it was the local, too, not the one that takes the 427/401 to Meadowvale and goes from there.

Bed by 1:30. Fun.

Spycraft CCG or Spycraft RPG? I play the former currently, used to play the latter, but recently sold off all my Spycraft RPG stuff (actually all my D20 gaming stuff).

Excellent. The most complex CCG I've ever played ... which is good and bad. It can frustrate the new player ... but once you get the hang of it, it really lends itself to some in-depth strategising.

You do the Living Spycraft thing? I was the first Canadian Regional Coordinator ... so everything you see on the site with reference to Canada is my doing. :) Not much has been going on with the region since I stepped down, unfortunately. Too bad I lost interest in D20 ... I had big big plans for the region.

Never played Jyhad. But a little moreso than L5R. Similar, since both are AEG games.

AEG has always maintained a foot in the door when it comes to the RPGA. You can partake in Living Spycraft without ever worrying about the RPGA. All the modules are downloadable outside of the RPGA. If you want the RPGA points, then you'd have to join the RPGA, but if all you want to do is play the modules, then the RPGA is not necessary.

Go to http://www.spycraftrpg.com/livingspycraft/ for more info. Download a couple of the mods. I've always found them to be quite good and open-ended. I've ran several of them several times, and each time the groups always completed them quite differently. Which is good in my opinion. Means they aren't railroads, unlike adventures in Living Greyhawk, which are complete and total railroads.

Have to make the CBC useful somehow. :)

(Kidding, I love the CBC.)

Most of the surnames of the section heads are named after RPG friends of mine. :)

I haven't read that stuff in a long while. It was a lot of fun putting it together and giving it Canadian flavour. I especially like the logo design I came up with. Took the old RCMP logo and altered it ... then AEG's graphic department through it into their style.
