The Bitter Guide to Pumpkins
Oct. 31st, 2004 02:45 pmOkay, just finished carving my Jack O'Lantern for Halloween (and a happy holiday to all the pagans out there!), when I realized something.
Is pumpkin not the strangest sounding word in the world? Pump-Kin. Pumpkin. Pumpkin seed, pumpkin patch, pump a tank, rumpy pumpy, Pump and circumstance kin.... Just a strange word. It looks like one of those words that was made up purely to annoy and confuse me.
We're now considering reserving some seeds to plant in the backyard next year. We should consider what we want to do with teh garden as a whole, really. So much space to use. It's quite exhilarating.
Of course, we also need to figure out what to do for Christmas and the movie night in January (Kill Bill 1 & 2, with sushi appetizers and spagghetti dinner during the break).
The Pumpkin Circle is interesting, as well.
